PMs Post Apacolyptic Blog
Hello there, my name is Penny Moore! To make a long story short I am a postal worker from sunrise terrace Wisconsin… Well okay I was more like a newspaper delivery girl but that’s not really the point anyway I’m on my way to Washington DC to join the Grand Postal Brigade! If you haven’t heard of these guys, you will soon. They were formally a part of the military that now dedicates itself to delivering supplies to fema camps in major citys all over the country. These guys also deliver packages and mail from camp to camp, allowing for a means of communication with the outside world even in areas with no electricity. I heard about them from my older brother and he knows a guy who’s a marine so you can rest assured that this isn’t just another disappointing rumor. I’m sure they’ll turn up in a town near you in no time so hang in there everybody!
It’s a long journey to DC, I’ve been on the road for four days and I just made it to Greenfeild this morning. I have a feeling the trip will take even longer with all the stops and deliveries I will no doubt be making along the way. I’ve already delivered three letters and a package and I still have several more things to deliver, mostly from neighbors and friends in my home town wanting to tell their friends and family that they are alive and okay but with every delivery the recipient has their own things they want to send. By the time I reach Milwakee I may need to acquire a bigger bag for all this. Fear not my faithful readers! The mail will always prevail! Yes I realize that this blog could not possibly have faithful readers as this is the first edition of what will hopefully be as informative and useful as well as serve as a thrilling account of my adventures across country through this apocalyptic wasteland which was a prosperous utopian society mere weeks ago.
The idea of keeping a public record of my travels and encounters was purposed to me by a man I met in Hales Hights the other day. He wanted to hear about what was going on in the world from a source other than the government broadcasts. I don’t know what kind of information I can give that would be any better than the big guys I mean really but it sounded fun so I’ll do my best! I’m headed to Milwakee next. I’m going to check out the fema camp there. I’m curious to see what it’s like, and I’ve got a lot of deliveries to make there. I’m hoping to catch a ferry across the lake to a little town called Grand Haven. I heard they still have a working airport there! Maybe I can catch a plane to DC? Anyway that’s my story. It actually wasn’t very short at all was it? Oops! Well I’d better hit the road before the dead start to gather. Wish me luck everybody! I’ll try to update you all soon!
